I helped create Portfolio Night, the world’s largest creative portfolio review and recruitment event. Designed to help young creatives land their first job, I attended the first ever Portfolio Night as an organizer and a participant.
What started as a small Canadian event grew into an international network of over 35 simultaneous events. For 13 years, it connected thousands upon thousands of young creatives and Creative Directors. It launched countless careers, and I couldn't be more proud.
Over the years, I did sponsorship sales, Creative Director recruitment, volunteer management and ran individual events.
Today, Portfolio Night is owned and operated by The One Club For Creativity.
Portfolio Night All-Stars was born from a desire to do more with Portfolio Night. To push it further. We took the best young creative from each of Portfolio Night's 25 events, and brought them to New York to work on a one-week creative challenge.
I took it from idea to execution, managing all planning and logistics. Each event was fully funded by a partner who utilized it as an opportunity to reach some of the best young creative talent in the world. Team Detroit, Ford, JWT, Puma and Aperol made it all possible.

The ADC Festival took place in Miami every April. Part conference, part awards show, fully inspirational. There were no advertising speakers or panels at the ADC Festival. Instead, world-class creatives engaged in hands-on workshops, using media such as paint, clay, wood, food, computer code and even the human body.
I was tasked with overseeing the development of branded activations at the Festival, such as the launch of the HP Sprout. This immersive computer demanded more than your typical demo, so we brought in Joshua Davis for a hands-on workshop which was integrated directly into the conference.
ADC Young Guns celebrates and awards the best under-30 creative talent in the world. Art Directors, designers, illustrators, photographers, motion designers and animators who win become part of an elite community which calls some of the best of the best members: Stefan Sagmeister, Rei Inamoto, James Victore, Jessica Walsh, Jon Contino, Dana Tanamachi and more.
I oversaw all aspects of the program, including sponsors, blog content, committee management, judging and party planning.
FITC produces high-end design and technology conferences all over the world, including Toronto, Amsterdam and Tokyo.
I was responsible for seeking out new and potential FITC sponsors and negotiating agreements. I was the point of contact for all sponsors and managed those relationships at events such as FITC Amsterdam where we created an evening art battle sponsored by Wacom which saw speakers and attendees using the latest Wacom tablets.
